The Bioparc Genève, located in Bellevue, is a wildlife park where the public is invited to observe more than 250 animals of some 85 different species, both European and exotic, and to actively participate in protecting them.
Security at the Bioparc Genève in Bellevue recently took a major step forward, installing a security system which our company donated to the institution – the latter of which is also a not-for-profit association.
A famous resident
This new security system is not only designed to protect the Bioparc's permanent residents, but also to ensure the safety of some of the more renowned guests. Indeed, among the wildlife park's new residents is Janus, the two-headed tortoise from the Museum of Natural History, who is calling the Bioparc home while renovation works are underway at the Museum. In this way, the Bioparc not only serves as a peaceful haven for dozens of different species, but also as a temporary sanctuary for exceptional species.
A reassuring security system
Our teams analysed the needs of the park with a view to securing the site, ultimately offering a concept that was both effective and easy to use. Among the security features we installed are image-based detection systems for visual verification; these ensure secure surveillance and a rapid response to any unusual activity, guaranteeing the park’s managers peace of mind.
With the Bioparc shop also carefully secured, visitors are sure to be able to choose a souvenir of their visit to the Bioparc and the magnificent site team can concentrate fully on the park’s residents.
Perched at the entrance to the Bioparc, Aldo welcomes visitors from his fig tree branch every day from April to September. The Bioparc's mascot has celebrated his 61st birthday.
Technical Manager at Protection One for the past 15 years, Filippo F. shares his enthusiasm, saying: "Helping to support this association that seeks to protect animals is so much more than a security mission: above all, it is an opportunity to support a noble cause.
